Detected departures by weekday and hour, in Berlin time. Each panel has its own color scale, so the patterns can be compared even when one city is much bigger than the other.

Busiest stations

Arrivals plus departures at each station over the whole collection window. Virtual stations, which only hold a single free-floating bike, are left out.

Stations on the map

Every station, sized by its number of rides. The outlines are nextbike's business and no-return zones.

Station counts only include rides that started or ended at a real station. Bikes parked between stations belong to a virtual station instead and are still counted in the city totals above. See Method & source.
